PASATERRA CAPITAL AND HELIX REAL ESTATE MANAGENT'S LOW BROW TACTICS

IS IT TIME TO SUE?

Today, September 15, 2022, Helix Real Estate Management's onsite contractors working on vacant units located at 435 N. Euclid Avenue in Pasadena, broke down the door of an apartment whose tenant had previously given notice and was scheduled to leave by midnight today. Some of the tenant's property remained in the unit. The breaking and entering into his unit also came before a final walk through had been performed and the keys to his unit returned to Helix. The tenant called the police and was told this constitutues a civil matter. Helix's President Tobin Koziol, was called by workers immediately after they realized photographs of the damages were taken by other tenants.

This is the latest in a long list of abuses perpetrated by Pasaterra and it's division, Helix. To date Helix is unresponsive to requests for repairs in units that remain occupied.

  • One tenant recently moved because she could no longer reside in her unit where mold had spread from broken pipes to her carpets and walls.
  • Another tenant moved after workers conducting work in a neighboring unit, broke a hole in the wall and refused to repair it.
  • Another tenant has been locked out of Helix's portal since August and requests that Helix provide link enabling him to pay his rent, have all been ignored by Tobin Koziol.

We are of the opinion that ALL remaining tenants at 435 N. Euclid and Pasaterra's other properties seek legal recourse for the abuses and duress inflicted upon them by the private equity firm and its abhorrent property management division.

In July 2022, Helix issued sixty-day notices which violated county law and tenants rights against forcibly being forced to move while "Covid" laws remain in place. Helix knowingly issued the directives despite the fact tenants in Pasadena, California are protected from eviction through December 31, 2022. The thuggish antics perpetrated by Pasaterra and Helix should be deemed unconsciounable and the duress they inflicted on tenants should be responded to in a court of law.

Clearly, Helix and its goon squad are violating laws that are threatening the safety of tenants and their property and afflicting immense stress.

More to come in the next post.

  1. I received a telephone call from Tobin Koziol minutes after workers told him photos were taken of the damages to the door at apartment #8. He didn't leave a message. I didn't return his call because he's refused to return my calls for repairs o& locked me out Helix's portal. He's a psycho.

  2. Former tenants can also legally sue Pasaterra and Helix.
